For Southlake Mayor Laura Hill, that 10-mile move is monumental. It's her city's first big national — or even international — splash in the business world.
A growing North Texas city is building a massive new city hall. In Roanoke, leaders said it was important to keep it in line with the city's "old town" charm. On the south end of downtown Roanoke, it’s hard to miss – the $13 million, two story building that’s going up. The new city hall, where Mayor Carl “Scooter” Gierisch will have a spectacular view of downtown.
Luquillo is a municipality of Puerto Rico located in the northeast coast, northwest of Fajardo; and east of Rio Grande. However, Luquillo marks the beginning of the Northeast Ecological Corridor Nature Reserve which runs down the coast from Luquillo’s town square all the way down to the Seven Seas Beach in Fajardo.
The initial phase of a massive North Texas campus for financial giant Charles Schwab & Co. (NYSE: SCHW). It will house 2,600 employees when finished in 2019, with enough room to accommodate 5,000 employees. In addition, the Westlake campus, which is being developed on a 70-acre parcel at State Highways 170 and 114, will include a park open to the public and a lake.
The project will have 250 luxury apartments on the north side of the site on Trophy Club Drive and Texas 114. In addition, the mixed-use project will have 39 town homes, a 137-room Aloft Hotel and 50,000-square feet of retail and restaurant space.
The apartments will be built by North American Properties with an urban design, meaning the parking garage will be in the center and the entrances to the units will be interior. The town homes will start in the $350,000 range with a minimum of 2,000 square feet.
The commercial area will be mostly restaurants, entertainment or service-oriented retail that doesn’t compete with e-commerce. Also, trails, open space and gathering areas that will be owned and maintained by the developer. There will also be special parking for golf carts.
